Anton Zaslavski (born September 2, 1989) was born in Saratov, Russia. He is a German DJ and music producer. He is professionally known as Zedd. He started his musical journey in Kaiserslautern, Germany, where he grew up. The name Zedd comes from the British English pronunciation of the letter "Z," which is the first letter of his last name. Zedd's rise to fame began in 2012 with the release of his single "Clarity," featuring Foxes. The song became a huge hit, reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also won him a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2014.
In 2012, he released his first album, Clarity. A deluxe edition of the album in 2013 included the hit single "Stay the Night," featuring Hayley Williams.
