About Youngjae (영재)
Choi Young Jae (최영재), born on September 17, 1996, in Mokpo, South Korea, is a popular singer, songwriter, and actor, known for being the main vocalist of the famous K-pop group Got7. His passion for music began in childhood, where he sang alongside his older brother. After his brother enlisted in the military, Young-jae continued to pursue his dream, joining a music academy in Mokpo. While studying, he worked part-time jobs to support himself. His dedication paid off when he won the Vocal Excellence Award at the Mokpo Youth Music Festival in 2011.
In 2013, Young-jae’s talent was noticed by JYP Entertainment, one of South Korea’s leading music agencies. He successfully auditioned and became a trainee, where he further developed his skills. His debut with Got7 came in 2014 with the hit single "Girls Girls Girls." Since then, Young-jae has been a key member of the group, known for his strong and powerful vocals, which have earned him widespread recognition from fans and critics alike.
