Years & Years was an English electropop band formed in London in 2010. The group gained fame with their 2015 single "King," which topped the UK Singles Chart and became a global hit, reaching the top ten in 13 countries. Their debut album, Communion (2015), also achieved great success, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart and becoming the fastest-selling debut album by a UK band that year. It included other hits like "Shine," which peaked at number two in the UK.
In 2018, they released their second album, Palo Santo, which entered the UK top ten and featured popular singles like "Sanctify" and "If You're Over Me," the latter becoming a top-ten hit. The album was praised for its blend of electronic beats and emotional lyrics, exploring themes of identity and freedom.
