Before fame, Hayes and his wife moved to Nashville in 2005 to pursue his music dream. He started by writing songs for a Nashville publishing company and briefly signed with Mercury Records before moving to Capitol Records. During this period, he contributed to notable tracks like Colt Ford’s “Dirty Side” and Rodney Atkins’ “Eat Sleep Love You Repeat.”

After facing setbacks, including losing his Capitol Records deal and working at Costco to support his family, Hayes signed with Shane McAnally’s SMACK/RareSpark. This partnership led to successful EPs like 8Tracks Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, and the breakout single “You Broke Up with Me,” which gained him attention in the industry.

Hayes continued to evolve with songs like “90’s Country” (2018), a tribute to classic country hits. His viral success with “Fancy Like” paved the way for hits like “U Gurl” and “AA,” showcasing his unique blend of catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics. With a career marked by resilience and creativity, Hayes remains a standout in country music.
