Tiago Uriel Pacheco Lezcano (born August 3, 2001) was born in Monte Grande, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an Argentine rapper and singer who is recognized for his unique blend of R&B, rap, and reggaeton music genres. He is professionally known as Tiago PZK.
Tiago PZK gained popularity in 2016 after his participation in local rap battles in Argentina and the self-released track "Andamo en la Cima." He is also associated with the freestyle crew in Argentina, PZK, and uses the suffix PZK in honor of the group.
In 2019, Tiago PZK signed to indie SyP Records in Argentina, where he caught the attention of Phil Rodriguez, the CEO of Move Concerts, one of Latin America's biggest indie promoters. Rodriguez signed Tiago PZK to management and his new Grand Move Records label. The artist's popularity continued to soar, and by January 2022, he had achieved the distinction of being the artist with the most number-one singles on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart, with four: "Además de Mí (Remix)," "No Me Conocen (Remix)," "Entre Nosotros," and "Salimo de Noche." Tiago PZK is now tied with María Becerra for the most number-one singles.
In 2022, Tiago PZK signed a record deal with Warner Music Latina, a major milestone in his career. However, the release of his first album, Portales, was met with controversy over lyrics that were criticized as racist. The track "Sabor a Miel" included the line "he smokes and his eyes look like BTS," which many people found offensive. Tiago PZK later apologized on Twitter to those who were offended by his lyrics.
