Skylar Grey

Skylar Grey, born Holly Brook Hafermann on February 23, 1986, is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. She began her career under the name Holly Brook, signing a deal with Universal Music Publishing Group and releasing her debut album, Like Blood Like Honey (2006), through Linkin Park’s label, Machine Shop Recordings. However, after parting ways with the label, she reinvented herself as Skylar Grey.

Her big break came in 2010 when she co-wrote Eminem's chart-topping hit "Love the Way You Lie" with producer Alex da Kid. This collaboration led to a record deal with Kidinakorner, under Interscope Records. Grey released her second album, Don’t Look Down (2013), which reached the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart.
