Tucker Pillsbury (born May 15, 1997) was born in Portland, Maine, United States. He is an American singer, songwriter, and former rapper. He is professionally known as Role Model. he began his music career in 2016, initially under the stage name Tucker, before later changing it to Dillis. He released his debut mixtape, Since When, under the name Tucker and followed it up with his first album, Moth, under the name Dillis in June 2016.
Role Model gained recognition after self-releasing his debut extended play Arizona in the Summer in 2017, which helped him develop a strong following online. His unique sound, which incorporates elements of indie-pop, R&B, and hip-hop, earned him a loyal fanbase and ultimately led to his signing with Interscope Records in 2018.
Since then, Role Model has released two EPs, Oh, How Perfect (2019) and Our Little Angel (2020), through Interscope and Polydor Records, respectively. Our Little Angel was well-received by both fans and critics alike and featured the single "Blind", which was accompanied by a music video released in October 2020.
In July 2021, Role Model released the single "Forever&More", showcasing his ever-evolving sound and poignant lyricism. The track was followed by the release of "Death Wish" in September 2021. He continued to release new music throughout the following months, including the single "If Jesus Saves, She's My Type," which he released alongside its music video on February 18, 2022. That same day, Role Model announced the title, tracklist, and official release date of his highly anticipated debut album, Rx.
In March 2022, Role Model released the album's third single, "Neverletyougo," with an accompanying music video, building excitement and anticipation for the album's release. Rx, Role Model's debut studio album, was finally released on April 8, 2022. The album featured a variety of musical styles, and his signature blend of genres was on full display. The title track, "Rx," was accompanied by a music video that was released on April 9, 2022.
