Popcaan

Andrae Hugh Sutherland (born July 19, 1988) was born in Jamaica. He is a Jamaican Dancehall Artist. He is professionally known as Popcaan. He is growing up in Portmore, in a tough area known as Gangsta City, he faced many challenges. Due to the difficult environment, he had to leave school early. His stage name "Popcaan" was given to him by a close friend, Scumpy, who tragically lost his life to street violence. Popcaan has released several popular international singles, such as "Only Man She Want," "Everything Nice," "Ova Dweet," "El Chapo," and "Family." He has also worked with many global artists, including Drake, Jamie xx, Pusha T, Giggs, Matoma, Wale, Gorillaz, and Davido.

In 2008, Popcaan’s life changed when he joined Vybz Kartel’s Gaza Music Empire. Two years later, he gained international attention with his hit song "Clarks," a tribute to the popular shoe brand, which he performed with Vybz Kartel.
