Kobe Vidal Crawford Jr. (born August 20, 1998) was born in Mobile, Alabama, United States. He is an American rapper and singer who has gained recognition for his clever wordplay and unique sound. He is professionally known as NoCap. His career began in 2017 when he started releasing songs like "Let It Go" and "Legend." These early tracks caught the attention of big names in the music industry, including Lil Baby and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, which led to him signing a joint deal with YoungBoy's label, Never Broke Again, and Atlantic Records in 2019.
NoCap's first big project after signing was his mixtape The Backend Child, which made it onto the Billboard 200, peaking at #170. This mixtape included some of his most popular tracks, like "Ghetto Angels" and "Blind Nights." He followed up with another mixtape, The Hood Dictionary, which did even better, reaching #80 on the charts and featuring the viral hit "In 4."
