Miyeon, born on January 31, 1997, is a South Korean singer and actress best known as the main vocalist of the girl group (G)I-dle under Cube Entertainment. She debuted with (G)I-dle on May 2, 2018, with their mini-album I Am and the title track "Latata." Before joining Cube in 2017, Miyeon worked as a freelance singer and participated in Urban Zakapa's Canada Tour in 2016. She also appeared in Lim Seul-ong's music video "You."
In 2018, Miyeon gained global attention when she performed at the League of Legends World Finals alongside Soyeon, Madison Beer, and Jaira Burns as part of the virtual K-pop group K/DA. Miyeon voiced Ahri, a popular character in League of Legends, and sang on the hit track "Pop/Stars," which topped Billboard's World Digital Songs chart.
Miyeon showcased her vocal talent on various platforms. In 2019, she collaborated with Hangzoo for the song "Cart" and appeared on King of Mask Singer in 2020, earning praise for her soulful and smoky voice. In 2020, Miyeon made her acting debut as Yoo Hayoung in the web drama Replay: The Moment, where she also contributed OSTs like "Dreaming About You." The drama received over 6 million views. She further enriched her discography with OSTs for Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and Tale of the Nine Tailed.
