Maksim Anatolyevich Korzh (born November 23, 1988) was born in Luninets, Brest Oblast, Russia. He is a Belarusian singer, songwriter and composer. He is professionally known as Max Korzh (Макс Корж). His musical journey began at the age of 16 when he co-founded the musical group LunClan with his friends.
However, the group disbanded relatively quickly, and subsequent projects he was involved in did not achieve significant success. Despite these setbacks, Korzh continued his passion for music and started experimenting as a beatmaker, creating compositions for other artists. Unfortunately, this endeavor also did not yield the desired results, prompting him to embark on a new path by singing over his own instrumentals.
While pursuing his studies at the Belarusian State University, Korzh recorded his first solo song. However, he soon realized that his academic commitments were hindering his musical pursuits. Consequently, he made the decision to leave the university after completing his second year and fully dedicate himself to his musical endeavors. To finance his initial solo release, a song called "Heaven will help us," Korzh borrowed $300 from his mother. He shared the track on VKontakte, a popular social networking site, where it gained significant popularity. "Heaven Help Us" was co-produced by the DJ duo "Magic Sound" and garnered attention from various Minsk radio stations, earning it airplay. Encouraged by this positive response, Korzh actively promoted his songs to DJs for club rotations.
During his early career, Korzh became a member of MU Skool, a Minsk party that brought together emerging artists from the city. Among his fellow artists in the group was Oleg LSP, and together with him, Korzh participated in the sixth hip-hop.ru team battle as part of the ShREC Pro group. In 2009, Korzh further expanded his horizons by joining the group "MCity," and it was with their collaboration that he featured in his first music video, "Raise the Sound."
With his determination, talent, and willingness to explore various musical styles, Maksim Korzh has established himself as a well-known figure in the Belarusian music scene. His journey from early setbacks to rising popularity showcases his resilience and passion for creating music that resonates with audiences.
