Louis William Tomlinson (born December 24, 1991) was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. He is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. He is professionally known as Louis Tomlinson. He rose to prominence as a member of the internationally acclaimed boy band, One Direction.
Before auditioning for the British music competition series, The X Factor in 2010, Tomlinson began his career in acting and appeared in various television dramas. Despite being eliminated as a solo performer, he was placed in a group with four other contestants to form the widely successful One Direction.
