About Korn
Korn (stylized as KoЯn) is an influential American nu metal band formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California. The original members—James "Munky" Shaffer, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, and David Silveria—were previously part of the band L.A.P.D. The current lineup includes Shaffer (guitar), Arvizu (bass), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar), Jonathan Davis (vocals), and Ray Luzier (drums), who replaced Silveria in 2007. Korn is widely credited with pioneering the nu metal genre, combining heavy metal, hip-hop, and alternative influences.
The band made its first demo tape, Neidermayer's Mind, in 1993, which gained attention in the music industry. Korn's debut album, Korn (1994), was followed by Life Is Peachy (1996), both of which helped establish the band's unique sound. Their mainstream breakthrough came with Follow the Leader (1998) and Issues (1999), both topping the Billboard 200 chart. Korn's success continued with albums like Untouchables (2002) and See You on the Other Side (2005).
