About Koffee
Mikayla Victoria Simpson (born February 16, 2000) was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica. She is a rising Jamaican singer, songwriter, rapper and guitarist. She is professionally known as Koffee. Koffee made her initial mark with the release of her debut single, "Burning" in 2017. The track showcased her unique blend of reggae, hip-hop, and R&B influences, setting the stage for a promising career. Building on this momentum, she followed up with another single, catching the attention of music enthusiasts and industry insiders alike.
The turning point in Koffee's career came in 2018 when she inked a deal with Columbia Records, a major milestone that elevated her global presence. Her 2019 debut EP, "Rapture," demonstrated her versatility, featuring a collection of five tracks that delved into reggae, among other genres. Notably, the EP secured Koffee a historic achievement at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, where she became the youngest recipient and the only woman ever to be honored with the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
