About Khalid
Khalid Donnel Robinson (born February 11, 1998) was born in Fort Stewart, Georgia, United States. He is an American singer and songwriter. He is professionally known as Khalid. He is signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records. Khalid rose to prominence with the release of his debut studio album, American Teen, in 2017. The album was a massive commercial success and was certified 4x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Its two singles, "Location" and "Young Dumb & Broke," both charted in the top 20 of the US Billboard Hot 100, with "Location" receiving Diamond certification by the RIAA.
In addition to his successful debut album, Khalid has collaborated with several other notable artists in the music industry. He was featured on Logic's US top 10 single "1-800-273-8255" alongside Alessia Cara, which earned him a Grammy Award nomination for Song of the Year. He also collaborated with Normani on the No. 1 pop song "Love Lies" and with Benny Blanco and Halsey on "Eastside," both of which tied the record at the time for the longest-charting songs on the Mainstream Top 40 chart and reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
