About Kelsea Ballerini
Kelsea Nicole Ballerini (born September 12, 1993) was born in Mascot, Tennessee, United States. She is an American country-pop singer and songwriter. She is professionally known as Kelsea Ballerini. Starting her journey in the 2010s, she quickly gained recognition, earning multiple Grammy nominations and awards like the Gene Weed Milestone Award and the Rising Star Award. Ballerini began writing songs as a child and signed with Black River Entertainment in 2014. Her first album, The First Time, and her second, Unapologetically, were released in 2017, leading to several hits on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. Notably, her debut single "Love Me Like You Mean It" topped the charts, making her the first female artist since Carrie Underwood to achieve this with a debut single.
Ballerini’s third album, Kelsea, came out in 2020, along with a stripped-down version titled Ballerini. This era showcased two sides of her artistry—bold in Kelsea and vulnerable in Ballerini. The song "Half of My Hometown," a collaboration with Kenny Chesney, won two Country Music Association Awards.
