About Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Clarkson, born Kelly Brianne Clarkson on April 24, 1982, is a celebrated American singer, songwriter, and TV personality. She gained fame by winning the first season of American Idol in 2002, which secured her a deal with RCA Records. Her debut single, "A Moment Like This," topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and became the best-selling song of 2002. Her first album, Thankful (2003), debuted at number one and included hits like "Miss Independent."
Clarkson shifted to a pop-rock style with her second album, Breakaway (2004). The album sold over 12 million copies globally and earned two Grammy Awards, fueled by hits like "Since U Been Gone" and "Because of You." She took more creative control with her third album, My December (2007), but its darker tone faced resistance from her label. She returned to a lighter pop-rock sound with All I Ever Wanted (2009) and Stronger (2011), both of which produced chart-topping singles, including "My Life Would Suck Without You" and "Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)."
