Gurnam Bhullar (born February 8, 1994) was born in Kamal Wala, Tehsil Fazilka, Punjab, India. He is an Indian singer, actor, and lyricist who is primarily associated with Punjabi language music and films. Gurnam completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Apeejay College, Jalandhar.
Gurnam's journey in the music industry started with the release of his debut song "Heer Jehiyan Kudian" in 2014. He gained popularity after the success of his songs "Rakhli Pyar Nal" in 2016 and "Driver" in 2017. However, it was his song "Diamond" featuring Roopi Gill that made him a household name. The song was released on 10th January 2018, and its popularity skyrocketed with more than 500 million views to date. The song was written by Vicky Dhaliwal.
Apart from singing, Gurnam has also participated in reality shows, such as "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa" and won Awaaz Punjab Di Season 5. In addition, he has also ventured into acting, with his debut as a guest appearance in the film "Afsar" in 2018, and later in "High-End Yaariyaan" in 2019. Gurnam's debut as the lead actor was in the Punjabi film "Guddiyan Patole" in which he starred alongside Sonam Bajwa and Tania. He played the lead role in his next film, "Surkhi Bindi" with Sargun Mehta. Gurnam's acting skills have earned him recognition, winning the "Best Debut" award for his role in "Guddiyan Patole" and "Most Romantic Song of the Year" for the song "Pagal" at the PTC Music & Film Awards 2020.
However, Gurnam's career hit a snag when he was arrested by the Punjab Police in July 2021. The police arrested him for allegedly shooting a music album in Rajpura during the COVID-19 restrictions and not following the health norms. Despite this setback, Gurnam Bhullar's talent and popularity continue to captivate audiences around the world, and he remains a prominent figure in the Punjabi music and film industry.
