Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher on March 17, 1988, in Vancouver, Canada, is a talented musician, singer, songwriter, and producer. She is known for blending electronic music with futuristic and often feminist themes. Grimes’ work is recognized for its unique sound, combining elements of pop, experimental, and electronic genres. Her music often explores science fiction and fantasy concepts, and her music videos are known for their imaginative, visually complex storytelling.

Grimes began her music career independently after moving to Montreal in 2006. In 2010, she released her first two albums, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa, through the independent label Arbutus Records. Her next album, Art Angels (2015), was hailed by critics as one of the best albums of the year, marking her rise in the global music scene. Grimes’ fifth album, Miss Anthropocene (2020), continued to showcase her experimental style.
