Ash Blue Gutierrez (born January 20, 2005) was born in Florida, United States. He is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. He is professionally known as Glaive. His musical journey gained momentum with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic when he shared a series of hyperpop tracks on SoundCloud, quickly amassing a devoted fan base. The undeniable talent showcased in these early works led to a pivotal moment in his career — signing a record deal with Interscope Records.
In 2020, Glaive unveiled his debut extended play, "Cypress Grove," a collection of songs that reflected his distinctive style and artistic prowess. The EP was crafted in just a week and released on November 19, 2020. The singles "Clover" and "Eyesore," the latter marking the conclusion of the Cypress Grove era, added to the anticipation surrounding his musical trajectory.
Subsequently, Glaive embarked on collaborations, notably with Ericdoa, resulting in the joint extended play "Then I'll Be Happy." The lead single, "Cloak N Dagger," released on January 21, 2021, showcased the synergy between the two artists. Glaive's creative output continued with the release of the music video for "Astrid" in February 2021 and the lead single, "I Wanna Slam My Head Against the Wall," from his second extended play, "All Dogs Go to Heaven," in March 2021.
Throughout 2021, Glaive's musical landscape expanded with collaborations, including the single "What Was the Last Thing U Said" with Aldn and featuring on Renforshort's "Fall Apart." He released the EP "All Dogs Go to Heaven" in August 2021, setting the stage for a dynamic tour with Ericdoa, Midwxst, Aldn, and Underscores across North America. Despite plans for a European leg in January 2022 being canceled, Glaive remained prolific, introducing "Prick" as the lead single from the deluxe edition of "All Dogs Go to Heaven," titled "Old Dog, New Tricks," released on January 27, 2022, featuring four additional tracks. Glaive's artistic evolution continues to captivate audiences, cementing his status as a multifaceted force in the music industry.
