    About Girls Generation

Girls' Generation (SNSD), a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment, debuted on August 5, 2007. Initially a nine-member group, they became eight after Jessica left in 2014. The members include Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Widely recognized as one of K-pop's most successful acts, they earned the title "The Nation's Girl Group" in South Korea due to their immense popularity.

The group gained major attention with their 2009 hit "Gee," which topped KBS's Music Bank for nine weeks, and was named the most popular song of the 2000s by Melon. They followed this success with other hit songs like "Genie," "Oh!" and "Run Devil Run." Their second album, Oh! (2010), won Album of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards, making Girls' Generation the first female group to win this prestigious award.
