About Emiway Bantai
Bilal Shaikh (born November 13, 1995) was born in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He is an Indian rapper, singer, songwriter, and live performer. He is professionally known as Emiway Bantai. Emiway Bantai is a stage name that he chose, which combines the names of two famous American rappers, Eminem and Lil Wayne, with "Emi" coming from Eminem and "Way" from Lil Wayne.
He gained fame with his hit song "Asli Hip Hop" in the popular Bollywood movie "Gully Boy" (2019). Emiway Bantai began his career with his debut song "Glint Lock" featuring Minta in 2013. His early days as a rapper were challenging, and he even worked as a helper at the 'Hard Rock Cafe' to make ends meet. Despite coming from a humble background, he never took financial support from his family to pursue his passion for rap music. Initially, Bantai rapped in English, but his father advised him to switch to Hindi to reach a wider audience. In 2014, he released his first Hindi rap song "Aur Bantai," which became an instant hit. He also auditioned for the popular Indian reality show "India's Got Talent" before gaining widespread recognition.
