    Thebe Neruda Kgositsile (born February 24, 1994) was born in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer, professionally known as Earl Sweatshirt. Earl Sweatshirt first gained attention for his mixtape "Earl," which he released in 2010 at the age of 16. The mixtape quickly gained a cult following for its dark, introspective lyrics and distinctive sound.

    In 2011, Earl Sweatshirt signed to Tyler, The Creator's record label, Odd Future Records, and became a member of the rap collective Odd Future. He released his debut studio album, "Doris," in 2013, which featured collaborations with several members of Odd Future as well as other artists such as RZA and Mac Miller. The album received critical acclaim for its gritty, introspective lyrics and Earl Sweatshirt's unique flow.
