Nir Tibor (born June 18, 1993) was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is an Israeli musician, producer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is professionally known as Dennis Lloyd. He gained significant recognition for his breakout 2016 hit single, "Nevermind", which achieved chart success in multiple countries.
Lloyd's musical journey began in mid-2015 when he released his debut single, "Playa (Say That)." Seeking inspiration and new experiences, he relocated to Bangkok, Thailand, where he spent a transformative year solely focused on his music. During this period, he dedicated himself to honing his craft and penned an impressive collection of 35 songs.
After his time in Bangkok, Lloyd returned to Israel and continued to release captivating music, including tracks like "Snow White" and "Nevermind (Alright)." He reworked the latter song and released it as "Nevermind" in the winter of 2016. The remixed version swiftly gained popularity on Spotify, reaching number four on the Spotify Global Viral chart. Over time, "Nevermind" accumulated more than 500 million streams on Spotify and received over 1.5 million Shazams. It even earned a spot on Time's list of "songs of summer" in June 2018.
In June 2017, Lloyd's talent caught the attention of the German "Colors" YouTube channel, which featured him performing an acoustic rendition of his song, "Leftovers." The video has since amassed an impressive 43 million views. Building on his growing success, Lloyd announced the MTFKR Tour in March 2018, commencing in Italy in May 2018 and encompassing various European and North American dates. Additionally, his hit track "Nevermind" was featured in the commercial for the launch of the new BMW 3 Series in 2019. Lloyd also had the opportunity to perform "Nevermind" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 24, 2018.
In February 2019, Lloyd unveiled his single "Never Go Back," which received critical acclaim from renowned publications such as Billboard, Time, and Forbes. This single served as a precursor to the release of his debut EP, "Exident," on April 5, 2019. Lloyd accompanied the EP's tracks, "Never Go Back" and "GFY," with captivating music videos. Following this release, Lloyd embarked on a sold-out Never Go Back tour across the United States, Canada, and Australia. He also graced the stages of esteemed music festivals, including Coachella, Governor's Ball, and Montreux Jazz Festival.
Dennis Lloyd's versatility was further demonstrated when he collaborated with guitarist Tom Morello for a Spotify Singles session in July 2019, covering Audioslave's iconic track, "Like a Stone." On September 14, 2019, Lloyd released his song "Wild West," which gained recognition by being included on the soundtrack for EA Sports' FIFA 20.
