Frank Jahmier Childress, known as Comethazine, is an American rapper and songwriter born on July 6, 1998. He gained fame with his platinum-certified single "Walk," which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. Another popular track, "Bands," also boosted his recognition. Both songs were featured in his debut mixtape Bawskee (2018), which marked the start of his rise in the rap scene.
Comethazine followed Bawskee with four sequels: Bawskee 2, Bawskee 3.5, Bawskee 4, and Bawskee 5. In 2019, he joined the XXL Freshman Class, performing alongside Roddy Ricch and Tierra Whack, further cementing his position in the industry. His first studio album, Pandemic, released in March 2020, received positive reviews for its energy and unique style.
Starting his career by uploading music on SoundCloud and Spotify as a teenager, Comethazine transitioned from being a mechanic to a full-time musician. A viral incident in 2018 added to his early success when an upload of his song "Bands" accidentally replaced another artist’s track on SoundCloud, gaining unexpected popularity.
Comethazine expanded his creative pursuits in 2019 by founding his label, Hench Mafia Records. His debut album Pandemic was followed by Bawskee 4 later that year, with hit singles like "We Gone Win" and "Air Max." In 2021, he released Comethazine the Album, featuring tracks like "Spinback" and "Six Flags." He also explored filmmaking, directing and shooting a TV show called Doogie.
His latest project, Bawskee 5, was released in November 2022, showcasing his continued dedication to his craft. Known for his aggressive rap style and vibrant energy, Comethazine remains a unique voice in modern hip-hop.
