Chris Tomlin

Christopher Dwayne Tomlin (born May 4, 1972) was born in Grand Saline, Texas, United States. He is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter and worship leader, With over 7 million records sold. He is professionally known as Chris Tomlin. He is associated with the Passion Conferences and is signed to EMI's sixstepsrecords. Some of his most acclaimed songs include "How Great Is Our God," "Our God," "Whom Shall I Fear (God of Angel Armies)," and "Holy Forever."

Tomlin's journey in music began at the age of 13 when he started singing at the Main Street Baptist Church in Grand Saline. By the time he was 14, he had written his first worship song. During his high school years, Tomlin honed his skills as a worship leader in his youth group. After graduating from Grand Saline High School in 1990, he attended Tyler Junior College (TJC), initially planning to pursue a career in medicine or physical therapy.
