Caroline Polachek

Caroline Elizabeth Polachek (born June 20, 1985) was born in New York City, United States. She is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. She is professionally known as Caroline Polachek. Her musical journey began in Connecticut, where she co-founded the indie pop sensation Chairlift while pursuing her education at the University of Colorado. The duo swiftly gained prominence within the vibrant Brooklyn music scene of the late 2000s, propelled by their sleeper hit "Bruises."

Post-Chairlift, Polachek delved into solo projects, creating music under the monikers Ramona Lisa and CEP. However, it was after Chairlift disbanded in 2017 that she embarked on a remarkable solo career under her own name.
