Carla's Dreams is a popular music project from Moldova, formed in 2012 in Chișinău. The group’s lead singer, known by the alias "Sergiu," along with other bandmates, keeps their personal lives private. Carla's Dreams performs in multiple languages, including Romanian, English, and Russian.
The band gained recognition in Moldova and Romania with their 2013 collaboration with Inna on the single "P.O.H.U.I.," which became a hit. Following this success, they released several chart-topping singles, including "cμm ne noi," "Te rog," and "Sub pielea mea," which became number-one hits in Romania. These tracks were part of their debut major-label album Ngoc (2016).
Carla's Dreams is known for their blend of pop, rock, and electronic sounds. Their music often features emotional and introspective lyrics, resonating with fans across multiple countries, including Russia, Poland, and France. In addition to their musical success, the band has earned critical acclaim and numerous awards. In 2016, they won eight awards at the Media Music Awards and released their second album Antiexemplu, which included popular tracks like "Acele" and "Imperfect."
The band's popularity continued to rise with appearances on TV shows. Sergiu, the lead singer, served as a judge on X-Factor (2016-2018) and later became a judge on SuperStar România in 2021. In 2018, they began the Nocturn project, a series of music videos filmed at night, with the single "Luna" becoming a major hit.
Carla's Dreams also explored acting, with Sergiu providing the voice for the character Nassor in Disney's animated movie Frankenweenie. Their ongoing success in both music and television has solidified their place as one of the most influential acts in Moldova and Romania.
