    About Busta Rhymes

Trevor George Smith Jr. (born May 20, 1972) was born in New York City, United States. He is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor, who has left an indelible mark on the world of hip-hop and entertainment. He is professionally known as Busta Rhymes. Busta Rhymes earned his distinctive moniker from Chuck D of Public Enemy, who drew inspiration from the wide receiver George "Buster" Rhymes. His illustrious career spans various creative realms, including rapping, singing, songwriting, record producing, and acting.

Busta Rhymes first emerged on the music scene as an original member of Leaders of the New School, a group that garnered national attention while opening for the iconic Public Enemy. It was during this time that he gained widespread recognition for his guest appearance on A Tribe Called Quest's track "Scenario." Following the group's dissolution, Busta Rhymes embarked on a solo journey, quickly becoming one of the most sought-after artists in the industry. His solo debut album, "The Coming," released in 1996, achieved immense success by reaching the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart, earning RIAA platinum certification, and securing him a coveted Grammy nomination.
