Bring Me the Horizon is a popular British rock band that originated in Sheffield back in 2004. The band is composed of lead vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They have a global record deal with RCA Records and are signed exclusively to Columbia Records in the United States.
The group's debut album Count Your Blessings, released in 2006, received mixed reviews due to its polarizing deathcore sound. However, Bring Me the Horizon began to shift away from this style with their second album Suicide Season (2008). This record was a turning point for the band in terms of critical acclaim and commercial success. Bring Me the Horizon continued to evolve their sound and reach greater fame with their third album There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let's Keep It a Secret. (2010). This record incorporated various musical influences, such as classical music, electronica, and pop.
In 2013, Bring Me the Horizon released their major-label debut, Sempiternal, which achieved Gold certification in Australia and Silver certification in the United Kingdom. That's the Spirit (2015), their fifth album, debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. Amo (2019), their sixth studio album, became the band's first album to top the UK charts. In the same year, Bring Me the Horizon also released Music to Listen To... (2019), which was commercially successful. In 2020, the band released Post Human: Survival Horror, the first project in a four-part series under the Post Human name. Alongside their studio albums, Bring Me the Horizon has released two extended plays and two live albums.
The band has received numerous accolades, including four Kerrang! Awards, including two for Best British Band and one for Best Live Band. They have also been nominated for two Grammy Awards. Bring Me the Horizon has sold over 4 million records worldwide, with hits such as "Throne", "Drown", "Mantra", and "Parasite Eve" topping the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart.
Bring Me the Horizon's musical style has evolved over time, moving away from their deathcore roots towards a more melodically-oriented sound. They have combined their approach to metalcore with elements of electronica, pop and hip hop, resulting in a unique and distinctive style.
