Christopher Brent Wood (born September 19, 1995) was born in Columbia, Maryland, United States. He is an American R&B singer. He is professionally known as Brent Faiyaz. His breakthrough came with the release of the GoldLink single "Crew," featuring Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy. The song achieved remarkable success, receiving 6× Platinum certification by the RIAA and earning Faiyaz a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
In 2021, Faiyaz continued to make waves with several notable singles. "Wasting Time," featuring Drake and The Neptunes, "Gravity" with DJ Dahi featuring Tyler, the Creator, and "Mercedes" all found their place on the Billboard Hot 100.
