About Bones Uk
BONES UK is a rock band from Camden Town, London, formed by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Rosie Bones, lead guitarist Carmen Vandenberg, and drummer Heavy. Rosie and Carmen met at the Blues Kitchen in Camden and were part of an all-female band, Fake Club, from 2012 to 2014. Later that year, they created BONES UK, blending bold lyrics with edgy rock sounds.
The band gained early recognition from legendary guitarist Jeff Beck, who invited them to co-write his 2016 album Loud Hailer and join him on tour. BONES UK later moved to Los Angeles to grow their music career. They began by releasing independent singles before dropping their debut album on July 12, 2019, via Sumerian Records. This self-titled album tackled topics like toxic masculinity, sexism, and the pressures of beauty standards. It also featured a cover of David Bowie’s "I’m Afraid of Americans," originally created for a Bowie tribute album requested by Howard Stern. Critics widely praised the album, with Loudwire naming it one of the best rock albums of 2019.
