    About Bon Jovi

"Bon Jovi" is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey, boasting a lineup that currently includes singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarist Phil X, and bassist Hugh McDonald. Over the years, the band has undergone changes, with original bassist Alec John Such departing in 1994 and co-songwriter Richie Sambora leaving in 2013. Renowned for bridging the musical realms of heavy metal, rock, and pop with seamless style, Bon Jovi emerged onto the scene in 1984 with their debut album, featuring the breakout single "Runaway" that secured a spot in the Top 40.

However, it was their 1986 release, "Slippery When Wet," that catapulted them to global fame. The album, selling over 20 million copies, boasted chart-toppers like "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin' on a Prayer." Following this triumph, "New Jersey" in 1988 continued their streak, selling over 10 million copies with five Top 10 singles, including No. 1 hits like "Bad Medicine" and "I'll Be There for You." The late 1980s saw extensive touring and recording, with Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora achieving solo success in 1990 and 1991.
