Benjamin Schiff Platt (born September 24, 1993) was born in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is an American singer, actor and songwriter. He is professionally known as Ben Platt. Platt roots deeply embedded in the entertainment industry as the offspring of esteemed film and theater producer Marc Platt, Benjamin's journey into the limelight began at a tender age, gracing the stages of musical theater productions such as "The Sound of Music" in 2006 and "The Book of Mormon" from 2012 to 2015.
However, it was his portrayal of the titular character in the Broadway sensation "Dear Evan Hansen" from 2015 to 2017 that truly thrust him into the spotlight.
