Marcellus Rayvon Register (born February 7, 1991) was born in Detroit, Michigan, United States. He is an American rapper. He is professionally known as Babyface Ray. Babyface Ray started his music career in 2010 when he joined forces with fellow Detroit rapper Peezy and became part of the rap collective Team Eastside.
Ray began to gain recognition in 2015 with the release of his debut mixtape, MIA Season. The mixtape was followed by Ghetto Wave in 2017 and MIA Season 2 in 2019. These projects helped him to establish himself as a rising star in the rap scene.
In February 2021, Babyface Ray released his first EP, Unfuckwitable, featuring collaborations with EST Gee, Moneybagg Yo, and Kash Doll. The EP made its debut on the Billboard 200 at number 128 on February 27, 2021. In August of the same year, he released a single called "It Ain't My Fault," featuring rapper Big Sean.
In January 2022, Babyface Ray released his highly anticipated debut album, Face. The album features collaborations with various artists including Swedish rapper Yung Lean, G Herbo, 42 Dugg, Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa, and Landstrip Chip. Face debuted at number 31 on the Billboard 200 chart and number two on the Independent Albums chart.
Later that year, Babyface Ray was selected to be part of the 2022 XXL Freshman class and performed in the subsequent cypher alongside rappers BabyTron, Cochise, and Kali. With his unique style and impressive collaborations, Babyface Ray has solidified his position as a rising star in the rap industry.
