About Aitch
Harrison James Armstrong (born December 9, 1999) was born in Moston, Manchester, England. He is a British rapper. He is professionally known as Aitch. His journey to stardom began in 2015 when a YouTube video of him freestyling with friends gained local popularity. Initially hesitant about its release, Aitch changed his mind when the video amassed 10,000 views.
Aitch's breakthrough on the music scene came in 2018 with the release of his track "Straight Rhymez," which catapulted him to national attention. This achievement set the stage for his subsequent accomplishments. In August 2019, he dropped "Taste (Make It Shake)," which quickly became his biggest hit at the time, peaking at number eight on the UK Singles Chart. The following month, he released his second EP, titled AitcH2O, which reached an impressive number three on the UK Albums Chart.
Continuing his upward trajectory, Aitch collaborated with AJ Tracey and Tay Keith on the track "Rain" in March 2020, securing a spot at number three on the UK Singles Chart. In May of the same year, he unveiled his third EP, titled "Polaris." Aitch's commitment to his craft remained unwavering, and in June 2021, he released the single "Learning Curve," followed by "Party Round My Place" in September.
Collaborative efforts have also played a significant role in Aitch's career. On 3 February 2022, he featured on ArrDee's single "War," which debuted at number six on the UK Official Singles Top 100 Chart. On 10 March 2022, Aitch released the highly anticipated single "Baby," featuring American singer Ashanti, which heavily sampled her 2003 hit "Rock wit U (Awww Baby)." The track made an impressive debut at number two on the UK Official Singles Top 100.
In August 2022, Aitch unveiled "My G," a heartfelt collaboration with Ed Sheeran that pays tribute to his sister Gracie, who has Down syndrome. The track carries a powerful message and showcases Aitch's versatility as an artist. Following this success, his debut studio album, "Close to Home," was released on 19 August 2022, reaching an impressive number two on the UK Albums Chart.
Aitch's contributions to the music industry have garnered him recognition, with nine top 100 singles in the UK, including hits like "Taste (Make It Shake)" and "Baby." The moniker "Aitch" derives from the pronunciation of the letter 'h,' representing the first letter of his given name. With his unique style and unwavering dedication, Aitch continues to captivate audiences and solidify his position as a prominent figure in British rap.
